AOGCC Fracking Regulation Comment Deadline, Hearing Delayed

The Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission has issued two additional public notices since the original notice provided here a couple of weeks ago. The notices push back the deadline for commenting on the proposed hydraulic fracturing (“fracking”) regulations to April 1 and the public hearing until 9am on April 4. DCC is working on our comments, and will provide some thoughts to members wishing to comment on this website and in our next newsletter.

The kick-off meeting for the Denali Area Airport study is taking place this Thursday, April 18, 5-7pm at the Aurora Denali Lodge in Healy. This study is a needs assessment for the Denali Borough that will also recommend infrastructure improvements.
