Sue's
Back!!
After
six months of working out in the Park, I am back caretaking at Denali
Lakeside Lodge and working for DCC as the Winter Community Organizer.
Thanks to all the fund drive donators for their generous contributions.
I will be contacting the donators at some point in the winter, but
there were several of you, so don't be disappointed if I don't reach
you immediately. Those that were anonymous will stay as such. Feel
free to call me with questions...907-683-2511 or the DCC number
will forward to my number.
DCC
Board Retreat a Success/2 new Board appointees
The
DCC Board of Directors held their annual Board retreat October 3-5.
On Friday, a small crowd of 28 enjoyed the relaxing evening with
friends. Saturday was spent discussing the many issues of importance
concerning the Park and surrounding community. Several DCC members
showed up to voice opinions and listen in. At the Board meeting
on Sunday, President Nancy Bale appointed two new members to the
Board to replace recent Board retiree Bruce Lee and another vacant
slot. Both Grady Wilson (landowner
near Otto Lake) and Jean Balay (long
time resident and landowner in the Stampede area) will appear on
the ballot at the annual meeting in June, but meanwhile will sit
on the board as appointed by the President.
Coalbed
Methane Summit to be held in Wasilla
Several
of us will be attending a Coalbed Methane summit in Wasilla October
17 & 18 and will try and schedule an evening meeting in Healy
around mid November to present findings and information. Stay tuned!
